HENNIE STANDER - Creative Portfolio

In 1995 I was in my second and last year of my Copywriting diploma at The AAA School of Advertising.
My final year project was for the South African National Road Safety Council. I did not have an Art Director, so had to cobble 4 layouts together with letraset and photostat machines.
I found 2 out of the 4 posters recently and thought; what would I do differently if I had AI to help out.
At first, I thought that I would totally change the them, but all I ended up doing was restoring them. I still think they are powerful ads.
Fast forward a few years to 2018/19, when Mike Muller and I were freelance CDs at McCann Joburg.
We came up with an Arrive Alive campaign, which we both loved, but the campaign got forgotten when 1886 swallowed up the place and kicked out all the freelancers.
Anyhoo, fuck them - scroll down - here's that campaign (which I did up with the help of AI).
Lesson: Not much has changed on our roads in the last 3 decades. People still drive drunk and now people also drive under the influence of social media - at least the drunk drivers are trying to see the road.
